Tagged!

Sisterfilms stopped by and asked me to play the meme where you tell seven things about yourself. I think I've done something like this, but I will give it a try because I hear she is a nice gal. Her mama met my mama.

Here are seven facts about me, Molly!

1. I have three colors: black, white and rust. Those are the colors all Bernese Mountain Dogs are supposed to have, although every now and then, one is born that is only rust and white. Here is a picture of a famous one named Copper.

2. I am particularly fond of cheeseburgers. I like them so much that when I was a puppy I took one right away from my human sister, Light Princess. Ever since then, my people call cheeseburgers "Molly burgers." (Except on Sam's birthday; then we all call them "Samburgers.")

3. I was born in Vermont.

4. But my breed came from Switzerland originally.

5. On Thursdays, Sam and I go to the dog park with our friend, Louise, in her magic van. It is magic because when she opens the door, our dog friends are in it!

6. When there is funder, I feel upset.

7. My mama usually tells my Papa Bear to let me get on the bed if the funder comes at night. Last night I got scared and got on the bed, but then the funder stopped and I had a very cozy sleep between them.

I think most everyone has played this, but you may play, too, if you like. Even Fish, but please share with Whistle and Dubby, okay?

Love,
Molly

All About Me-me-me!!!

Tiria tagged me!

Ten years ago:
I was not born yet! I am only 6.

Five things on today's "to do" list (it's nighttime, so this is my "been done" list):
1. Eat a good breakfast
2. Ask my mama where Louise is?
3. Get excited because Louise is here to take Sam and me to the dog park with our friend, Bryce!!!!
4. Beauty nap
5. Enjoy the breeze until it's time for dinner

Three bad habits:
1. I've been told it's wrong to counter-surf, but I just don't see it that way.
2. Same thing with rolling in the grass where it smells most interesting...
3. Lying down during leash walks; I'm just looking for cookies, okay?

Five places I've lived:
1. I've only lived in two places.
2. One was in Vermont, where I was born
3. The rest of my life has been lived at this house
4. I hope I never live anywhere else
5. We are happy here.

Things I'd do if I was a billionaire:
If I were a billionaire, I would give a lot of money to the people at BARC, who save dogs like me from puppy mills, and another lot of money to my animal friends being helped by the Humane Society of South Mississippi, not because there aren't other places to give money, but because those are my special interests and those animals are in my heart.

Five jobs I've had:
1. Pastoral Visitor (I like visiting church people.)
2. Guest Preacher (my mom uses my help with the children sometimes)
3. Soloist (I sing when I go to church, Wroo wroo! And I am always in the right key; it's amazing.)
4. Actress (I played the one sheep in a play about the 99 sheep. I've also played myself.)
5. Ambassador Plenipotentiary--I make friends wherever I go!

Have you played this one? If you want to, please do, and let me know in the comments!

My Day at the Specialty

Dear friends,

Today I took a long ride with my mama and my human sister to a place where lots and lots of Bernese Mountain Dogs have gathered together.

Some were doing Agility, going up and down ramps and jumping through hoops.

Some were pulling carts, which I hear is what we did in the Olde Country.

Some were showing how obedient they are.

Some got to go around in a ring just for being more than seven years old!! And some got admired just for being puppies.

Some are competing in Con-for-ma-tion, to see which dogs look and move the most like our breed is supposed to, or so I'm told. I saw some of those dogs. Their people got more dressed up than the rest, and those dogs looked extremely clean and tidy.

So did I!! My mama took me on this long car trip to meet a lady named Pat, who takes pictures of dogs like me, with her friend, Joye. They go to big gatherings and take lots of pictures, but they don't do it as a job. They do it as a gift. My mama wrote down a name on a piece of paper along with numbers, and that was a donation to the people who rescue Bernese Mountain Dogs from auctions.

I asked my mama what an auction is and she said to tell you it's a place that's okay for lamps and sofas and silver candlesticks, but not for animals. Our friend, Toby, who lives with Revsweet, got rescued by those nice people and so we gave our money to that group, BARC. (Get it?)

After all my pretty pictures were taken, Pat and Joye wanted to eat their lunches. We were still waiting for a round silver thing from the computer that had my pictures, so my mom stayed and talked with them. When I saw them eating delicious sandwiches, I realized they had forgotten ALL about my long ride in the car and how hungry I must be, so I told them.

"Wroo wroo!" I said, and I raised up and told them.

Pat said she wanted a picture of that, too, so I had to pose some more.

I hope you enjoy my pictures. My mama says there are more over at her Flickr page.

Also, my Papa Bear showed up and petted me for a while, but he had to go back to work. He said he'll be home soon. (Don't tell Sam I saw him, okay? He stayed home and spent the day with Louise, who takes us for walks. He had a good day, too, and our mama brought him turkey hearts that were dried up into treats. Yum!)

Let me know if you like my pictures,

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

P.S. Here's how I look at my mama.

A Few Thoughts From the Sofa

Dear friends,

Tonight I am on the sofa thinking about some things and want to tell you about them.

First, I want to tell you a very sad thing. My friend, Cub Poppy, could not get well in her body, and she died. My mama gets tears in her eyes when she talks about it. I know Cub's family misses her very much, because they had a lot of love together, all of them, and they still do.

One of my mama's friends says, "If dogs don't go to heaven, I want to go where they go when I die." I think it's a silly thing to worry about. Where else would dogs go? My mama always says the way to salvation is to become exactly the person God made you to be, and since dogs have a lot less trouble doing that than people do, we must be going to heaven. We don't know how to pretend the way you do, and we don't want to, anyway. We just love and get hungry and have a drink of water and tell you when it's time for a cookie; we keep it simple. We run when we see the ducks in the park, just to tell them how pretty they are. We roll in piles of dry moss that the neighbors raked, and then we shake the moss out of our coats. We enjoy ourselves. We enjoy the world. That's being real.

I've been going to see a nice vet named Dr. Karen. I've known her since I was a baby puppy. She taught my mama and my Papa Bear how to take care of a puppy. I trust Dr. Karen, so even though she is sticking little poking things into me, I stand still, mostly, and I lie down until it's time to have the little poking things come out again. Dr. Karen pats me over and over again to be sure there are none left behind, but maybe she pets me a little extra because I am so soft. Petting a soft dog makes a person feel better. I hope Cub's people are petting The Boy dog at their house, and I hope they all make each other feel as better as they can feel while they are getting used to Cub being gone.

Here is my dream for Cub: Cub feels as light as a puppy but as wise as she was on earth, and she is meeting other dogs waiting for their humans to come some day, and she is not lonely, and she is wearing a sky-blue bandanna with fluffy clouds printed on it, because she is an angel dog now.

We will all miss her, until the day we meet again.

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

Saints of the Church

Dear Everyone,

Today I went with my mama to work, because my elbow hurt too much for regular walks and my Papa Bear thought I would be bored at home. I got to go to two different churches!

First we went to our church, and we went to the office. It was very disappointing because my friend, Angela, took the day off today. We had visitors, but only Angela gives me lots and lots of cookies. Other people just give me one. I think Angela is one of the Saints of the Church, because she knows how to show love to one of God's creatures: me!

Mama says when Angela answers the phone and greets visitors, she is doing Ministry of Hospitality. I am good at that, too.

Later we went to a lunch meeting at another church, with a bunch of minister types. There was soup, but I only had a piece of cheese after the cheese had been sitting out and was getting a little hard around the edges. While they were all talk-talk-talking, I got sleepy. Sometimes ministers are boring.

However, there were several people who petted me and told me I was pretty, and my mama's friend Country Pastor sat on the floor to pet me. I slept with my paws under his chair. He is a Saint of the Church, too.

Do you have Saints in your church?

Tell me about them if you want to!

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

My Day

Here is my plan for today:

Go to church.

Last week I went to church with my mama on Wednesday. First we went to see the Women's Fellowship. How can women be fellows? My mama says maybe they should be the Women's Galship. One of them gave me carrot cake. She is nice.

Then we got back in the car and drove to a different church. All the people there were ministers. They told my mama some stories about their dogs, and then they sat around a table and my mama talked for a very long time. But it was okay because she was talking about ME!!!

Then I went back to the usual church. It was dull. We stayed in the office a crazy long time. It was okay while my friend, Angela, was there, but after she left, I was bored, because my mama was "working," or that's what she said.

Finally some ladies came, some of the same ladies from the morning. They went all over the church, and they took me with them! Then they packed boxes to send to service gals and guys far away in Iraq. I made sure they did a good job packing up facecloths and chapstick and microwave popcorn and other good stuff.

After that, I had a snooze in the hall while I waited for my mama's meeting with them to be over.

It was a long day at church. Today won't be. Mama promised. Today I hope to see my Wednesday Wizards, especially George. He used to breed poodles, and he groomed me once. He is my Best.Person.at.Church.

What are you doing today? If you're not too busy, I hope you'll remember to pray for sick animals and their mamas and papas who worry about them, especially Amie who is having tests and Cub and The Boy, who are hoping to stay calm today.

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

On the Fourth Day of Christmas

Hello, friends!

My mama is on a trip to visit my blog-friend, Whistle, and his people and other animal friends on the Gulf Coast. While she's away, I have to go upstairs to use the computer. It has a really good screen, and the keyboard is MUCH easier than using the pawtop computer. I think I'll use this one all the time now. I don't understand why I couldn't go on the plane with her. I am very well-behaved, and I would think that having me around would be good for people who have fear of flying.

Did you have a good Christmas? There was a lot of good food at my house, including Swedish meatballs, cheese grits and finally pizza on Boxing Day. My mama says that is not a day for fighting, but an old-fashioned tradition of giving presents on the day after Christmas. Instead of giving boxes, we ordered pizza and a nice man brought it to us in boxes. While my family is eating pizza, I sit beside the dining room table and look as pretty as I can. That usually gets me some crusts, and if I'm very lucky, the rest of the pizza, too!!!

While my mama is away, our Papa Bear is lonely. He took us to the beach this afternoon and it was fun! Sam tried to catch the waves. Silly Dog! I looked around for people who needed company. There is always someone with lonely feet who needs my attention.

A lot of people sent kind wishes when I told you about my Sore Elbow. I want you to know that my new medicine is making me feel MUCH better. I like it okay with cream cheese. I did NOT like the Pill Poppers, even though they taste like beef.

I want you to visit two other dog blogs for me, okay? One belongs to Scout, who is a new dog blogger. The other one belongs to my special friend, Cub. Please read her blog and keep her in your prayers, okay? She blessed me, and I want to bless her, too. I'm sorry she has to go to the doctor so much, and I hope they are taking good care of her.

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

Writing with One Paw

Dear Friends,

I haven't been typing because my elbow has been bothering me. It's hard to type with one paw. Tonight I am dictating to my mama, and she is typing my words for me.

Tuesday I went to the vet to have my teeth cleaned. They gave me sleepy medicine, and I did fine with that, and now my teeth are beautiful! But they also took some pictures of my elbows, and Dr. K said it was no wonder I have been holding up my left paw, because the arthur-ities in my left elbow is pretty bad, worse than in my right one.

My mama says that when I was a puppy, before I had surgery, that was the worst one then, too.
So Dr. K said I should take some new medicine. I hate it! It comes in little pills, and since I am not a little dog, I have to take a lot of them, three at a time, two times a day. Sometimes I get a special cookie after, but Dr. K also says I can't have so many cookies, because I weigh too many pounds. I think that is a very rude topic of conversation!

Right now, my elbow feels pretty bad, but my mama says it will probably take a few more days for the medicine to really make me feel better. And if it doesn't she will call the vets and ask what they think.

I don't really like peanut butter, but I wonder if my mama could put cream cheese on my pills? She says that sounds like a good idea! We'll try it tomorrow.

Here is the most important thing I want to tell you. Some people who let their dogs have puppies don't stop to think about stuff like arthur-ities. They just want to sell puppies, so they don't get their mama and daddy dogs checked for problems like mine. Those people are mean! I am glad to be alive, but I hate to think of other puppies and dogs having pains like mine. It's just not right.

If your people are thinking of getting a purebred puppy, please tell them to talk to my mama first. And don't go to a pet store! The puppies there came from puppy mills, and every time you buy a puppy at a pet store, it just makes the puppy millers want to sell more. They are greedy. They don't think about the dogs, or how long the will live in little cages. Please, please think about it before you get a puppy.

My mama and Papa Bear did not know the right things to do when they looked for a puppy, and my mama says they learned the hard way, but they aren't sorry I came to live with them, just sorry my elbow hurts so much. We all love each other. If you are a dog or a cat, I'm sure your people love you, too.

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

Friday Five: Think About These Things Edition

My mama posted this at RevGalBlogPals:

Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8, NRSV)

Friends, it's nearly Thanksgiving in the U.S. and it's the time of year when we are pressed to name things for which we are thankful. I want to offer a twist on the usual lists and use Paul's letter to the church at Philippi as a model. Name five things that are true, honorable, just, pure, pleasing, commendable, excellent or worthy of praise. These could be people, organizations, acts, ideas, works of art, pieces of music--whatever comes to mind for you.

Clearly, Molly the Blogging Dog belongs on such a list. Thanks to jo(e) for the great picture of Molly.

Hey, it's a meme about me!! (I had a really good time with jo(e) when she came to visit.

I'm going to play it!

1) True is a word I like, and it's what I try to always be. Being a dog, I don't have trouble being true to myself, but I have also learned from my brother, Sam, that being true to your own family matters. He is a very loyal dog. He likes our people better than all other people, except maybe Louise, who takes us for walks. He loves her a lot. Sam is true to Louise and to us. I appreciate him!

2) Excellent is when we are walking in the woods, and I am feeling hot, and right close by I find cool, cool water to drink. Sometimes I even lie down! My mama and Papa Bear don't always like it that I lie down, but they understand how hot I get and that I need to cool off.

3) Worthy of praise is church. I really love going to church. The people are very, very friendly. Some of them sing, and I like to sing along. That is how I praise God! Wroo wroo!

4) Pleasing is when people are petting me and telling me I am pretty.

5) Honorable and commendable are the people and groups who take care of animals who don't have homes. One of those groups is down in Mississippi, where my friend, Sister, lives with all her cats: Andy, Whistle, Fish and Dubby. I am a member of the Humane Society of South Mississippi. They even send me mail! You can join, too. There is also a group that rescues dogs like me from puppy mills and auctions. You can read about them here. You can even see pictures of the dogs they rescued!

You can play this meme, too, and I hope you will!

Blogger Meet-Up!

Hello, friends!

Today I got to meet a world-famous blogger, jo(e)! Even though she is a cat person, she seemed to enjoy touring City By the Sea with my mom and Sam and me. We went to all the places with the best views. We smelled the sea air. We took pictures of sailboats and lighthouses and each other! We walked around until I was too tired to do anything but lie down, and jo(e) took my picture then, too.

I really liked her.

A nice German man took pictures of Sam and me, too.

The picture here is one my mom took at Not Quite Lands End Beach. I stood still for at least a second to help her.

I hope jo(e) will come to see me again some time. Also, I can't wait to see the pictures she took of me. She wants you to think I was nekkid, but I swear I kept my coat on!

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

A Good Day

Today my mom told me I had mail! I was so excited! She brought the card out to the backyard, where I was playing with Sam and our cousin dog, Luna. It had my name on the front, and our address, too!

Inside was a note from my good friend, Sister, who lives on the Gulf Coast with my mom's friend, St. Casserole and a lot of cats.

Sister doesn't like funder either! She agrees with me that funder is no fun.

I am happy to have a friend far away. She is my Paw Pal.

The leaves here are crunchy. The weather is called "fall" because the leaves are falling down. It's fun to kick them around on a sunny day in the yard with Sam and Luna. I hope you are having a good day, too!

Friday Five: The B-I-B-L-E

It's time for Friday Five! Mother Laura asked some questions about the Bible.

1. What is your earliest memory of encountering a biblical text?

That's easy! My mama took me to church to illustrate one! I was just getting ready to take my Canine Good Citizen test and the lesson for that week had something about distractions in it. I went into church for the Children's Time and my mama talked about distractions and how that is part of the CGC test and part of the life of faith, too. People liked me, and they understood my mama's message better after watching me do some of my tricks, even though I was in church. I kept my eyes on my mama and showed my eye contact!

I also learned that there are "alternate" translations, and "the sin that distracts" was in one of them.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2, NRSV)

I know I get distracted sometimes and want to run off, and it must be even harder for people, since they aren't as good as dogs, mostly.

2. What is your favorite biblical translation, and why? (You might have a few for different purposes).

I like the RDSV (RevDog Standard Version).

3. What is your favorite book of the Bible? Your favorite verse/passage?

There's a story about a lady who tells Jesus that even the dogs under the table get the children's crumbs. I like that idea. I get the children's crumbs a lot, and even their leftovers. It makes me sad that some children don't have enough to eat. That lady was smart, and she helped Jesus think about who he was here to talk to and love, which is everybody.

4. Which book of the Bible do you consider, in Luther's famous words about James, to be "an epistle of straw?" Which verse(s) make you want to scream?

I prefer to discuss the great canine theologian, Martin Wroofer, who once said, "Wroo wroo! Too many rules in Leviticus! Listen to Jesus: love God, love others and love yourself. And don't forget to love dogs, too."

5. Inclusive language in biblical translation and liturgical proclamation: for, against, or neutral?

I think you should always include all the creatures. Don't forget the dogs. Or the cats. When I was scared of the No Fun-derstorm last night, I got on the bed with my mama and Baby the cat, and Baby didn't bother me at all, and I didn't bother her either.

Bonus: Back to the Psalms--which one best speaks the prayer of your heart?

I like to sing, so I love the psalms, especially the rejoicing ones! Even when my elbow hurts, which is a lot lately, I try to stay happy. If you're ever feeling glum, just read Psalm 150. It says, "Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!" And I do.

I hope you'll play, too.

Five Questions!

Hi, friends! I'm back from my dog-blog-battical. My elbow has been bovvering me, and I didn't feel like typing, but now I have new medicine and feel much, much better.

These questions came from Cub, my friend in a Big Hot State. (By the way, Cub, that was Sam standing on the snow. I was down below in that picture, just the top of my head showed.)

1. You are a Ministry Dog. What is your favorite kind of ministry?

Thanks for asking this one! I enjoy Ministry of Visitation with older folks, and Ministry of Canine Education with the children, and I enjoy Ministry of Worship, especially when I get to be in a drama at church. But I think my favorite is Ministry of Coffee Hour. Sometimes they have sandwiches, and once I even got cake!

2. Like me, you have a dog brother. But you also have human boys and a human girl. What's that like?

My human boys and girl LOVE me!! My girl watches TV with me. My boys scoot over and let me get on their beds when I hear FUNder, which I call NO-Funder. Sometimes they walk me. I like it when the Oldest walks me, because he lets me do all my bad tricks and can't stop me. Heeheehee... I miss them, but my mom says they will be home for Thanksgiving, which is the most delicious holiday of all!!

3. Is the floor slippery at your church? Some places in my church it is, and I slide all over.

At our new church, a lot of the floors have carpets. I like them because they are flat and worn down and easy to walk on for me. Even the Molly-vator has a carpet! The Vestry floor is slippery, so I have to be more careful there.

4. Same question I asked the other dogs: What is one secret of a blissful life that you'd like to share with your thumb-havers?

Always look for the best in everyone, including yourself, and be sure to appreciate those good parts. If you love yourself and love other people, that's a good way to love God, too.

5. Frosty Paws: ever had them? If yes, share your opinion; if no, do you plan on trying them?

I've never had them, but once I had some vanilla soft serve ice cream with dog cookies, and it made me very sick. I lost a lot of weight. (I gained it back, sadly.) So I'm not allowed to have ice cream things anymore.

That's my five questions. If you want me to ask you some, leave a comment underneath here, okay?

Time to get my beauty sleep.

Love,
Your Friend,
Molly

Catching Up

Hello, world!

It's me, Molly!

I've been resting on the couch after a ramble in the woods this morning.

Here's all the latest news from my house:

  • Both our boys went away to school. Our mama closed the door to their room, so I can't go upstairs. She says it's not because of me. It's because of our cat, Baby, who pees on things. I would NEVER pee on things in the house. That is just not nice.
  • Our Papa Bear went away, too, but Mama says he will be back in six weeks, and it's already been one week, almost, so that makes five weeks.
  • I am good at math.
  • Our girl is in 7th grade. When she comes home in the afternoon she likes to watch Naruto. I like that show! We sit on the couch together and watch after she does her homework.
  • Our Mama has been walking all summer, so now she likes to go for fast walks.
  • I prefer slow ambles around the neighborhood.
  • Especially since it suddenly turned into summer again. I have a fur coat, and I get hot!
  • Sam has allergies, so he has to take pink pills to stop scratching. He barks everytime someone walks by our house, and when cars go by, too.
  • Our Old Man Cat went away, and Mama says she doesn't think he is coming back. That makes her cry. I say there's no telling cats what to do, but if I could, I would have told him to leave a note.
How are things at your house?

Love,
Your friend,
Molly

Friday Five: Word Association, Redux

Hello, friends! It's me, Molly!!

I haven't blogged for a long time. First of all, it was hot here, and I didn't feel like doing much but resting and keeping cool. Then our pawtop computer wouldn't work, and I am not allowed to use my Papa Bear's, so I had to wait until it was fixed again. Then my Mom had to take it to work. Surely you see my difficulties!

But here I am, ready to play the Friday Five.

Below you will find five words. Tell us the first thing you think of on reading each one. Your response might be simply another word, or it might be a sentence, a poem or a story.

1. vineyard -- My Papa Bear has a t-shirt that says Martha's Vineyard. He wore it the night he met my Mom. She says it is very special, and now he only wears it about once a year. The rest of the time it stays in his dresser.

2. root -- In the spring, when I go out in our yard, I smell things under the earth. I try to dig and find them. My mom says they are roots, and she asks me to stop digging, so our young trees in the backyard can grow up and give me more shade. That seems like a good reason, so I try to stop. But sometimes a girl just has to dig, know what I mean?

3. rescue -- Rescue people are the kindest in the world! I belong to a special group that rescues dogs and cats and puppies and kittens. Sometimes they send my mail about their good work. They are The Humane Society of South Mississippi. My friend St. Casserole helped me to join because she heard I was upset about the animals who lost their homes and families in Hurricane Katrina. It's easy for the rest of the world to forget, but people on the Gulf Coast are still trying to rebuild, and that makes life hard for their pets. I hope you all give something, somewhere, to help animals who don't have homes! I have a t-shirt, too, from HSSM. Thanks, St. Casserole!!

4. perseverance -- I had to ask my Mom about that word. She says it means sticking with something even when you don't feel like it because it's really hard work. I think it means giving your people a paw poke, gently, when they forget to pet you or give you their pizza crusts.

5. divided -- Sam and I are divided from the cats at our house. The cats DO NOT like us. I bet if I met Littleman Kitty or Whistle and Fish they would like me. I hope they would. A house divided against itself cannot stand, and I am afraid if the cats don't learn to like me, our house will fall down!

Thanks for reading my word associations!!

Love,
Your Friend,
Molly

Sad Tonight

My mom's friend is hurt. Mom loves the dog at their house a lot, so I am praying for my RevGalDogPal. I wish people could be as loyal as dogs are.

Dreams Do Come True!

Hello, everybody!
Remember yesterday I said I wanted to make better friends with cats?
Well, lately, I've been going upstairs early in the morning to see if I can get some snuggles before Sam takes them all. My Papa Bear has been boosting me on to the big bed, and I get to snuggle between Papa Bear and my Mom. Sometimes Baby the Cat is there, but she usually hides behind my Mom.
Today she walked right over to me! I made friends with a cat!!
Love,
Your friend,
Molly
P.S. She smells very, very interesting.

Friday 5, Gifts and Talents

Over at RevGalBlogPals, Sally writes:

Our Circuit (Methodist) is having a "Gifts and talents day" tomorrow- we have a minister visiting from another circuit who has modified the Myers Briggs personality test and added a few things of his own to run a day where we get to look at ourselves in the light of giftings and of the whole church. The idea is to encourage everyone with the news that there is room for you in the ministry of the church- and perhaps to discover where that ministry might be.....

It should be an interesting day, and one where I hope people will leave feeling encouraged and challenged...

So with gifts and talents in mind here is todays Friday 5;

1. Personality tests; love them or hate them?

The only important personality test is the one I give to everybody I meet: it's the Molly Berner Temperament Index. The three possible results are:

Loves me

Likes me

Doesn't know what's good for them

2. Would you describe yourself as practical, creative, intellectual or a mixture ?

I am highly intellectual and creative about getting my people to serve my practical needs.

3. It is said that everyone has their 15 minutes of fame; have you had yours yet? If so what was it, if not dream away what would you like it to be?

I'm not famous? But I'm on the Internet!

4. If you were given a 2 year sabbatical ( oh the dream of it) to create something would it be music, literature, art.....something completely different...share your dream with us...

My whole life is a sabbatical. Come on over to the couch, and let's have a nap.

5. Describe a talent you would like to develop, but that seems completely beyond you.

I would like to be able to make better friends with my cats.

How about you? What talent would you like to have?

Five Things I Dig About Jesus

Rosie and Jenny tagged me to do a meme about Jesus. They want to know five things I dig about Jesus. I had to ask my Mom what that means, because I know about Jesus and I know about digging, but I thought digging was in the backyard, when I smell the roots starting to move under the ground. She explained that this kind of "dig" means like a lot and think is cool. So here goes!

1. Jesus loved everybody, even people who nobody else liked. That's how I feel about people, too, and I love being like Jesus that way. I always say hello to everybody and try to make them feel happy.

2. Jesus told a lot of stories. I tell a lot of stories, too! Wroo Wroo!!!

3. My mom says this list is not just about me. She says think of something that is different from me. Hmmm.

Okay, I've got one. Jesus liked walking from place to place so he could talk to as many people as possible. He didn't wait for people to give him a ride. He used his own feet. (I prefer the car.)

4. Jesus loved the little children, back when people didn't make a fuss over them. That is sweet. I love little children, too. (I can't help it, Mom, I really can't.)

5. Jesus told people to love each other. That's the most important thing there is.

What do you dig about Jesus?
